Hi. Yes I would say 1.5hr is enough time to do the Cheif Joseph Highway with stop offs. Are you turning off on the Beartooth Highway towards Billings, or carrying on towards the Lamar Valley and Yellowstone. We loved all the drive from Yellowstone which took us most of the day but only because we stopped and started so much! Amazing scenery.
