there is no cell service and no internet available. although people mention being unplugged is good for ones peace of mind. Being situated in a valley in Alberta in the summer, is hit and miss. With no service to warn of impending extreme weather, you are at the mercy of the weather gods here and if you hit any warm temperatures at all, get ready for extreme weather. We don't need another Pine Lake style disaster and I can't get by a provincial park with no warning system
How is the water at Long Lake for swimming? Is it decent enough for the kids? Love the area but a few years ago the water had lots of algae and was pretty dirty. If anyone has been recently could you comment. Thanks so much!!!

Hi Kristy! The water is fine at the moment. No swimmer's itch. The lake is sampled constantly and an advisory will be issued if blue-green algae is found :)
