Very knowledgeable staff educates the visitor on the history of Selma and the civil rights movement more generally. The displays are fine, if not state-of-the-art fancy. Full review by Virginiatravelerstwo

This NPS site is worth a short visit. Rangers, as always, are very friendly and knowledgeable. The provide insights into why Selma today is such a destroyed town.Full review by 405robertw405

We spent about 30 minutes there and that included walking across the bridge. We did not watch the film. I recommend you allow plenty of time for the Lowndes Interpretive Center if you make the Selma to Montgomery drive. That center has a lot of artifacts and historical information. We were there about 1 1/2 hours.
I have to do the route backward (Montgomery to Selma) . Can you still see the historical markers and the interpretive center with the campsites if youāre going in the opposite direction? (Montgomery to Selma as opposed to Selma to Montgomery)
