Very knowledgeable staff educates the visitor on the history of Selma and the civil rights movement more generally. The displays are fine, if not state-of-the-art fancy. Full review by Virginiatravelerstwo

This NPS site is worth a short visit. Rangers, as always, are very friendly and knowledgeable. The provide insights into why Selma today is such a destroyed town.Full review by 405robertw405

We spent about 30 minutes there and that included walking across the bridge. We did not watch the film. I recommend you allow plenty of time for the Lowndes Interpretive Center if you make the Selma to Montgomery drive. That center has a lot of artifacts and historical information. We were there about 1 1/2 hours.

I do not know. Call the office and they would be able to assist. The bridge is open and there are some displays in the woods across the bridge.

A:
Hello, Yes you can. Just watch for the signs. The Viola Luzio site might be the hardest to spit but it is easy to turn around.
Q:
when we come to visit, where is the best place to spend the night?
A:
We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Selma. Large, clean rooms. Great dining area for the breakfast. In Montgomery, we ate lunch at the Stockyard.
