Every year, iOS is one of the star attractions of Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference keynote. It's our first official look at new features and other changes that are coming to iPhones in the fall. The 2025 WWDC keynote was no exception, and the most immediate change is to the iOS naming system.

macOS 26 has been given the name Tahoe, after the lake, and it works on Macs as far back as most 2020 models and the 16-inch MacBook Pro from 2019. Several Macs, including the 13-inch MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro from 2019, miss out this time around.

Now, the Camera app in iOS 26 features a "new more intuitive design" that take minimalism to the extreme. The streamlined design shows just two controls: Video or Camera. Swipe left or right to choose modes. Swipe up for settings such as aspect ratio and timers, and tap for additional preferences.
