Auburn's new head coach Alex Golesh details mindset and discipline-driven plan to end Tigers’ late-game collapses in 2025.
Golesh showed signs of those characteristics during his introduction on Monday. His greeting to the fans waiting for him outside the stadium was a loud “War eagle!” and his goodbye as he entered was an even louder “War damn eagle!”
Former interim head coach D.J. Durkin seemed to ignite a spark in the locker room, but the Tigers still went 0-2 against SEC opponents in the three games that Durkin coached. Auburn found a way to lose to Vanderbilt and Alabama, both of which they lost by a touchdown, meaning the issue must lie deeper than the surface level with Freeze.
After officially landing at Auburn, Alex Golesh commented on the future of interim head coach DJ Durkin in Alabama.
