The successful trip to Hershey brought a bit of sweet revenge for South Fayette, who lost to Archbishop Wood in the state title game in 2023. When the Lady Lions returned back home on Sunday afternoon, they were greeted by supporters and welcomed with a surprise rally at the high school.

Juliette Leroux scored 15 points and Ryan Oldaker chipped in with 10 points for the Lions, who shot 20-for-36 from the floor (56%) and survived 22 turnovers. South Fayette defended the arc against Wood, holding the Vikings to just 2-for-12 from behind the 3-point line.
