The Australian Open followed suit in 1984 (before dropping it in 1996 and reinstating it in 2001), with the French Open and Wimbledon doing so in 2007. Granted, many ATP and WTA events still have disparities, but all four Grand Slams guaranteeing equal pay is a huge move forward.
