The entire country was marked as having a very high chance of life-threatening heat. While it's always hot during the summer in the Tampa Bay area, temperatures and heat indexes have been exceptionally high in recent days – a trend that will last a little longer as the calendar turns to August.

Central Florida faces another searing day Sunday with the National Weather Service placing much of the region under another heat advisory, and conditions could worsen Monday.

Central Florida will feel another wave of intense heat on Wednesday. A heat advisory will be in effect from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. for all of Central Florida. That is why WESH 2's First Warning Weather team has declared Impact Weather. Showers and storms will develop this afternoon and evening, with a 40% chance of coverage.
