Evans left the role of Steve Rogers/Captain America after 2019's "Avengers: Endgame," but now might be wishing he hadn't.

While originally set for release on May 1, 2026, “Doomsday” was recently delayed to Dec. 18, 2026. Its sequel, “Avengers: Secret Wars,” was also pushed. First slated to premiere on May 7, 2027, the film will now hit theaters Dec. 17, 2027.

Other familiar MCU stars that are returning for Doomsday include Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Robert Downey Jr, who’ll be taking on the part of the villainous Doctor Doom.
