The Seattle Mariners, one of the worst baserunning teams by some advanced metrics, ran all over the Tigers in their 15-7 win on Saturday.

Tigers All-Star Casey Mize (9-3) allowed six runs in three innings as Detroit was routed by the Seattle Mariners 15-7.

Much like his All-Star teammate Tarik Skubal did on Friday, July 11, Mize put in his worst start of the year right before the All-Star break as the Tigers lost 15-7 to the Mariners at Comerica Park. It was the most runs the Tigers have allowed in a game this season.

DETROIT, MI –– A red-hot Mariners offense handed Tarik Skubal a loss at Comerica Park on Friday, July 11. The Seattle Mariners defeated the Detroit Tigers, 12-3. Detroit entered the game boasting a league best 59-35 record. The homestand against the Mariners also serves as the 25th anniversary celebration of Comerica Park.

The Seattle Mariners’ bats stayed hot on Saturday, July 12, at Comerica Park. While Detroit’s offense did produce, the Tigers just couldn’t keep up. The Mariners defeated the Tigers, 15-7.
