The Mets plan to recall Alvarez from Triple A ahead of their game Monday, league sources told The Athletic. The news, which was first reported by the New York Post, will give way for the 23-year-old catcher to earn another chance in the majors after responding to a demotion last month with improvements on offense and defense.
