Kentucky residents have options for "No Kings" events around the state as well as Southern Indiana and the Cincinnati area.

Thousands of protesters gathered in front of the Fayette County Courthouse as part of a nationwide "No Kings" protest organized by a grassroots organization.

A massive organized protest called "No Kings" is happening across the country, including in and around Louisville.

The largely peaceful protests during the "No Kings Day" demonstration in downtown Los Angeles took an intense turn in the afternoon. Police ordered the crowd to disperse at about 4:15 p.m. PDT near Alameda Street and Temple Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's Central Division.

No Kings protests are planned for more than 1,500 locations nationwide, including several in the Bluegrass State.

Evansville's local protest is set for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Federal Courthouse at 101 NW Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Organizing groups are Indivisible Evansville with Evansville Resistance. The protest will feature speakers on social justice, a representative from the Vanderburgh County Democratic Party and more.
