The New England Patriots currently have the fourth-best odds of landing Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. The Cleveland Browns, Washington Commanders and Las Vegas Raiders are the only three teams ahead of the Patriots in the pecking order.

Most mock drafts have the New England Patriots going in one of three directions: wide receiver, offensive lineman or pass rusher. But on Monday, ESPN’s Matt Miller had New England going with a bit of a surprise in the 2025 NFL Draft. Miller has the Patriots take a defensive tackle.

ESPN’s Matt Miller put together a two-round 2025 NFL mock draft on Monday, and he had the New England Patriots go defense with both of their draft selections.

While many of the players the Patriots will likely target with the No. 4 overall pick didn’t participate in either game, there’s a strong chance that every player they take after the first round at least practiced ahead of them.

While New England is expected to have the most cap space, they also have high draft picks in each round that can be used to bring in some talented prospects from the college game.
