Universal's latest franchise blockbuster earned $147 million over the five-day Fourth of July weekend in the U.S.

Dinosaurs are ruling the box office again. “Jurassic World Rebirth,” the seventh installment in Universal’s long-running prehistoric series, stomped to $147.3 million over its first five days in 4,308 North American theaters.

The seventh installment in the action-adventure series created by Steven Spielberg opened well ahead of expectations over the long Fourth of July holiday in the U.S. — where it racked up $147.3 million — as well as overseas.
