Canada is looking at putting retaliatory tariffs if President-elect Donald Trump follows through with his threat to impose 25 percent tariffs on all Canadian products.

Trump has threatened a tariff on goods from Canada if the country does not clamp down on immigration and the flow of drugs across its border with the U.S.

Canada is looking at putting retaliatory tariffs on American orange juice, toilets and some steel products if Trump follows through with his tariff threat.

The Kremlin on Thursday said that Russia had strategic national interests in the Arctic when asked to comment on U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's remarks about acquiring Greenland, absorbing Canada and taking control of the Panama Canal.

Trump has expressed renewed interest in the U.S. taking control of Greenland, going so far as to refusing to rule out military intervention.
