Central Illinois has its eyes on the deadly fires in Southern California ravaging homes and buildings. The American Red Cross in central Illinois has thousands of volunteers standing by ready to head out west.

The American Red Cross of Wisconsin provided an update on their efforts to respond to devastating wildfires throughout southern California. According to a release, the American Red Cross of Wisconsin is sending at least four volunteers and one employee to help with relief efforts,

Members of the Red Cross from Oregon and Southwest Washington will fly out of International Airport on Thursday to offer support as members in California set up shelters to assist people who were forced to flee their homes.
