Foo Fighters continue to dip their toes back in the rock world with yet another new song ahead of their fall touring. The new track "Asking for a Friend" is the third fresh offering from Foo Fighters in 2025 after taking an extended break following the end of their But Here We Are touring cycle.

As noted in Grohl's statement, this will be the first time Foo Fighters tours with their new drummer, Ilan Rubin, former drummer for Nine Inch Nails. (Meanwhile, Josh Freese, who drummed for Foo Fighters from 2023 until earlier this year, has rejoined Nine Inch Nails.)

The Foo Fighters are gearing up for their next era. After teasing a typically hard-hitting new song earlier this month with a brief fist-pumping instrumental snippet, the veteran Dave Grohl-led band dropped the blistering "Asking For a Friend" single on Thursday morning (Oct.
