Hampton Roads might get another round of snow and ice this weekend as a nor’easter is expected to move across the South. According to the National Weather Service in Wakefield,

The most significant lake-effect snow is expected in Lake County, Illinois, with generally 3 to 5 inches of snow possible.

The seasonably cold January weather is sticking around Chicagoland this week. Early-morning temperatures Wednesday were in the single digits away from the lake and in the teens closer to the lake, with winds out of the northwest dropping wind-chill values to around zero in some locations.
