A 54-year-old Wayne County man who played the same set of lottery numbers for four years won a $1.3 million Lotto 47 jackpot from the Michigan Lottery. The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, matched the winning Lotto 47 numbers in the Jan. 8 drawing: 04-08-17-28-36-43.

WAYNE COUNTY, MI – Four years of playing the same lottery numbers finally paid off for a Michigan man this week. The man from Wayne County said it was a “dream come true” after he won a $1.3 million Lotto 47 jackpot from the Michigan Lottery.

James White, of Harrison, was on his way to do laundry when he decided to stop at a gas station in town, lottery officials said in a Feb. 18 news release. He had already bought two winning tickets, the first worth $500 and the second worth $50, he told officials, and he doubted he could do much better than that.

A Wayne County man was able to ease the disappointment of the Detroit Lions loss to the Washington Commanders in the NFC playoffs by winning $500,000 by playing the Michigan Lottery's VIP Cashword instant ticket game.

A Massachusetts man is wheeling in the big bucks after he won $1 million playing the lottery. Craig Raymond, of Adams, won his $1 million prize from a “ $10,000,000 Lucky Bucks ” scratch ticket. Raymond chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes.
