A scratch-off lottery ticket with a cash value of more than $1.7 million was sold in Hudson County last week. The lucky winner bought the Win For Life! ticket at 502 Grocery & Deli on Ocean Avenue in Jersey City on New Year’s Day, state lottery officials said.

The top prize of $100,000 was won on a ticket sold at Quick Chek #165 on Ridgedale Avenue in Cedar Knolls, Morris County. That player doubled the standard $50,000 payout by adding the Power Play feature, which multiplied the prize by two.
