The agreement comes just days after the first delivery of the Gripen E into the Swedish Air Force inventory, a milestone that technically enables potential transfers of Gripen C/Ds to Ukraine to begin. Stockholm has previously suggested it could donate 14 aircraft to Kyiv.
Sweden has signed a letter of intent to send at least 100 Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine over the next decade.
