On Monday, the Wolverines came in at No. 22 in the latest update to the Coaches Poll, joining five other Big Ten teams in the rankings: No. 7 Purdue, No. 9 Michigan State, No. 19 Wisconsin, No. 24 Maryland and No. 25 Illinois.

LSU baseball came in at No. 3 in the preseason USA TODAY Coaches Poll, which was released Tuesday. The Tigers are a consensus top-5 team heading into the 2025 college baseball season. LSU is highly ranked in all five major college baseball polls.

The state of North Carolina has four of its college baseball teams in the top 16 of the 2024 USA TODAY Sports preseason coaches poll.

Texas A&M is ranked No. 1 and received 17 first-place votes and 724 points. LSU (3), Arkansas (5), Georgia (9), Florida (10), Texas (13), Vanderbilt (18), Mississippi State (19), Kentucky (24) and Oklahoma (25) are also ranked from the SEC in the top 25.
