The classic-looking controller will work with Switch 2's new GameCube library.

The GameCube titles coming to Switch 2 include Wind Waker, Soulcalibur 2, and F-Zero GX with online play. As part of the Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo has announced that GameCube games will come to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack for the first time--and they'll be exclusive to the Switch 2.

Nintendo just dropped a boatload of Switch 2 news, including the release date, price and a launch title or two. It also announced a bevy of accessories that’ll be available for the console on June 5.

Classic GameCube games like F-Zero GX and SoulCalibur 2 are coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, as well as a slick new GameCube controller.

Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 GameCube controller will only be offered to those who pre-order the console via the My Nintendo Store. A message on the MyNintendo UK store reads that only players who are invited to pre-order the console will be able to purchase the GameCube controller.

Two of the biggest GameCube Pokemon titles have been confirmed for the Switch 2’s classic game library, and fans have every reason to be excited.

Nintendo Switch 2 will have access to GameCube games exclusively via the Nintendo Switch Online service, including The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.

This morning's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct revealed that GameCube classics will be heading to the Switch 2 through its Nintendo Switch Online subscription service.

In addition, Nintendo has announced that a dedicated wireless controller which has been designed after the original GameCube controller will be available for purchase by paid Nintendo Switch Online members.
