Ahead of this year’s US Open, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have only reinforced their positions as the best two players in men’s tennis.

Jannik Sinner has received a brutal reality check as he prepares to defend his title at the US Open. The world No. 1 recently lifted his fourth Grand Slam trophy at Wimbledon, beating Carlos Alcaraz in the final. If he can retain his crown in Flushing Meadows, he’ll tie Alcaraz on five Majors.

They'll still play the full U.S. Open starting Sunday in New York, but it might save some time to skip ahead to the men's final on Sept. 7.
