Central Drug Store, a community staple in San Francisco's Excelsior District since 1908, will permanently shut down at the end of the day on July 15, 2025.

He started working here in 1949 after he graduated from pharmacy school at UCSF. And he was a WW2 veteran," Jerry Tonelli, the pharmacist owner of Central Drug Store, told CBS News Bay Area.
