The journalist and niece of former President John F. Kennedy called the proposal “petty” and “small minded” in a post on X.

Last week, Kennedy’s grandson Jack Schlossberg ripped the consideration on Instagram, writing, “Plain reading of the statute makes clear — You cant do that.”
