The Houston Texans have signed former Cleveland Browns star running back Nick Chubb, the team announced on Monday. Chubb made four Pro Bowls in seven seasons with Cleveland, but was limited by injuries the past two years.

Chubb will join a Texans backfield that already features Joe Mixon, who joined Houston on a three-year, $25 million contract from the Cincinnati Bengals last offseason. Mixon made his second career Pro Bowl in 2024 after tallying 1,325 yards from scrimmage and 12 touchdowns while averaging 4.1 yards per carry.

Nick Chubb had become arguably the Cleveland Browns' most beloved player since Bernie Kosar since arriving in 2018. Much like the famed quarterback of the 1980s and early 1990s, the running back's time in the NFL will end elsewhere.
