PHOENIX – Three-time All-Star guard Bradley Beal and the Phoenix Suns agreed to a buyout on the two years remaining on his contract, a person with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press on Wednesday. The person spoke to the AP about Beal’s buyout on condition of anonymity because the deal hasn’t been officially announced.

Bradley Beal ultimately received a contract buyout from the Phoenix Suns, allowing him to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, but it didn't come without sacrificing some of his previous contract.

Before the signing the Beal, the Clippers—who are hard-capped at the first apron—had an active roster cap of $187 million, just $8.9 million below the first apron maximum, per Spotrac.
