EDMONTON -- The Florida Panthers are one win from repeating as Stanley Cup champions, but they’re still learning, still improving. They showed it in a 5-2 win against the Edmonton Oilers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final at Rogers Place on Saturday, taking a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.
The Panthers will host Game 6. Oilers goalie Calvin Pickard will get the start in Game 5. Edmonton won Games 1 and 4 while the Panthers won Games 2 and 3, the last one in a rout. The other three games went to overtime.
