Police are investigating a shooting that killed a man in Norwood. At about 2 p.m. on Saturday, police were called to the area of 9 Hoyle Street after a 911 call, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.
A 19-year-old from Norwood has been arrested on manslaughter charges after a fatal assault involving a sharp object, not a gunshot as initially thought.
The incident occurred just before 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon, when Norwood police responded to the vicinity of 9 Hoyle Street for an assistance request. Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
