A man who was killed in Norwood on Saturday has been identified as 25-year-old Anton C. Dowling of Boston, the Norfolk District Attorney’s office has announced.

Police are investigating a shooting that killed a man in Norwood. At about 2 p.m. on Saturday, police were called to the area of 9 Hoyle Street after a 911 call, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.

A 19-year-old from Norwood has been arrested on manslaughter charges after a fatal assault involving a sharp object, not a gunshot as initially thought.
