The Horned Frogs trailed by as many as 22 points in another defeat on the road. However, West Virginia had another response as Small knocked down a bucket in the paint and then found Joseph Yesufu for a 3 to put the Mountaineers back in front 67-53 with 4:25 remaining. Small finished with 23 points, 10 assists and six 3-pointers.

West Virginia (17-11, 8-9 Big 12) rebounded from a 73-51 loss at then-No. 9 Texas Tech on Saturday and avenged a 65-60 loss at TCU on Feb. 5. Small was 6-of-11 shooting from 3-point range and finished 8 of 16 overall.

The West Virginia Mountaineers may have clinched a trip to the NCAA Tournament tonight in the WVU Coliseum, taking care of business against the TCU Horned Frogs, winning 73-55 to move to 17-11 overall and 8-9 in the Big 12 Conference.
