The Darwin's frog, named after Charles Darwin, faces extinction after the introduction of the chytrid fungus to their habitat.

Eleven endangered male frogs that traveled 7,000 miles in a bid to save their species from extinction have “given birth” to 33 froglets at London Zoo.

The froglets were carried in the vocal sacs of 11 male Darwin's frogs, the zoo said. The male frogs rear their tadpoles until they metamoph into the next generation of Darwin's froglets.
