More than 100 nonprofit groups warned Thursday that Israel’s rules for aid groups working in the Gaza Strip and occupied West Bank will block much-needed relief and replace independent organizations with those that serve Israel’s political and military agenda — charges that Israel denied.

As France prepares to airdrop another 36 tonnes of aid into Gaza by next week, more than 100 NGOs have accused Israel of "weaponising" relief supplies. They say new registration rules have left goods stuck in Jordan and Egypt while Palestinians face starvation.

The update came as Gaza’s civil defence agency said at least 38 people were killed by Israeli fire on Friday, including 12 who were waiting for humanitarian aid.
