A 10-year-old boy critically injured when debris from the Jet Rescue Air Ambulance crash in Northeast Philadelphia struck his family’s car is awake and asking about his 4-year-old sister, his family said.

While nearly 43 years old, the Learjet that crashed in a fiery, rush-hour explosion Friday night in Northeast Philadelphia is one of the workhorses in Jet Rescue’s medical transport fleet.

On Friday, January 31st, a Learjet 55 being utilized as an air ambulance crashed in northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Shortly after taking off, the Learjet 55 suddenly nose-dived into several buildings near the airport.
