Previous reports detail how Matthew Huttle, 42, of Hobart was pulled over near the Jasper/Pulaski county line on State Road 14 on Jan. 26 at approximately 4:15 p.m.

The complaint states that Huttle was at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, with his uncle, and investigators acquired videos uploaded to his Google account of him inside the building for 16 minutes.

Days before Huttle's death, he was pardoned by President Donald Trump for his participation in the attack on the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 that left 140 police officers injured.

Dozens of Jan. 6 defendants who received pardons from President Trump had past criminal convictions for charges including rape, manslaughter, domestic violence and drug trafficking.

Huttle's defense attorney attributed his criminal record to a history of "extreme alcohol abuse." Even after Jan. 6, Huttle continued to rack up state charges in Indiana for driving offenses.
