Police in the U.K. cracked down on pro-Palestinian protesters Saturday, arresting many members of a group recently outlawed under anti-terrorism

London's police force said on Saturday that officers had arrested 41 people who had expressed support for the banned group Palestine Action at a protest outside parliament.British lawmakers proscribed the group under anti-terrorism legislation earlier this month after some of its members broke into a Royal Air Force base and damaged planes in protest against Britain's support for Israel.

Seventy-one arrests have been made at protests across the UK against Palestine Action being proscribed a terror group, police have said. Forces in London, Cardiff and Manchester each made a number of arrests on suspicion of terrorism offences.

Being detained for more than 100 days without charge with the threat of deportation looming over him did not break the spirit of Palestinian student activist Mahmoud Khalil, he told CNN, but he can never forgive being prevented from being present at the birth of his son.

His complaint alleges he was falsely imprisoned, maliciously prosecuted and smeared as an anti-Semite. He said he either wants $20 million or an apology from the administration.
