Google, OpenAI and Spotify were down on Thursday after a widespread technology outage. A large number of platforms appear to have been impacted, with tens of thousands of users reporting issues on Downdetector.

Google platforms, Spotify and YouTube were down for tens of thousands of users worldwide. There were 13,000 reports of issues with Google Cloud and 27,000 reports for Spotify just before 11.30am PT on Thursday, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages of online services.
