Happy 4th of July! While many Rhode Island town s set off their firework shows early this year, there are a few places you can go if you want to see a professional firework shows on the 4th of July. And they promise to be spectacular, particularly the Newport show, which will shoot off over Newport Harbor this evening.

Bristol Town Administrator Steven Contente said that the town’s firework show on Thursday was cancelled due to a severe weather squall. Contente said that the fireworks need to be set off Thursday night for safety reasons.
