Two days ahead of the 47th Annual LCMC Health Crescent City Classic, race officials announced the event has sold out.

“We’re expecting 30% more runners than last year, which is significant” Crescent City Classic race director Eric Stuart said.

Last year, a man had a cardiac arrest toward the end of the Crescent City Classic. Local health care workers saved his life.

He finished the race in person seven times before deciding to do it virtually. A friend convinced him to return—this time, with her help.
