South Florida is under a heat advisory, with feels-like temperatures exceeding 100 degrees, and hot weather is expected through the week, the National Weather Service said Monday.

NEXT Weather meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez says the advisory was issued as afternoon feels-like temperatures could reach 105 - 110 degrees.

The sweltering summer weather persists across South Florida, as forecasters have issued a heat advisory for Saturday in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Temperatures are expected to feel as hot as 109 degrees.
