Apr 2, 2023 · I just finished Silent Hill Origins on PS2, 16 years after giving up on my first attempt at playing it through. At that time, it was just too dark to navigate parts of the game on the CRT TV I was using.

As a Silent Hill game - not so good, but i like it anyway. This game was my first SH ever, so probably nostalgia thing) What interesting, is that we have 2 types of western SH games, one (Origins) for fans of the SH1 and SH3, and we have second (Shattered Memories) for fans of the terror, not horror, fans of the SH2.

Yes, the spiritual power was there, but it didn't become corrupted until Alessa accidentally unleashed the nightmare she endured for seven years.

Sep 4, 2022 · I'm playing SH Origins on PS2 and generally liking it a lot! Considering it was primarily a PSP game and a new developer, I'd say they did an excellent job - it's not quite up there with 1-4 as it feels decidedly less original, but I'd say it's the best traditional SH game not by Team Silent (I say 'traditional' because I actually love Shattered Memories).

Aug 26, 2014 · Any PS2 games that I play now are entirely through the PCSX2 emulator and the quality really depends on which game you play. I'm playing Armored Core 2 rn and it runs perfectly. Armored Core 3 stutters. I tried SH Shattered Memories when I made that comment and textures wouldn't load. Tried Silent Hill Origins and it has worked fine.
