Tifa being the biggest threat to Sephiroth is a very popular take lately because of what he did to the Weapon in Chapter 9. There are also arguments that Tifa is the most pivotal character in the story because she helps piece his mind together.

In Remake, Tifa gets hints and clues, but ultimately can chalk it up to Cloud misspeaking or having a faulty memory. Throughout Rebirth, Tifa can safely say that Cloud is not ok/not himself by the time they reach the Temple of the Ancients. They became best mates pretty much instantly - the part when Tifa goes in for Aeris's high fives made me shriek (and honestly feel that they should just forget Cloud and date each other instead but I digress.)

The reason why we did not see Tifa showing it, is 100% because they do not want to animate the shirt going up. It has nothing to do with nudity, since the scar is on her upper belly. Now, the reason why they do not even show Tifa with the shirt up already, and we do not actually see the scar itself, might be because they want to keep that open.
