JAXA(宇宙航空研究開発機構) has launched Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ (MHI) H3 Transfer Vehicle (HTV-X1) on its maiden flight at 9:00am JST (00:00 UTC) from the Yoshinobu Launch Complex at Tanegashima Space Center in Japan. Upon arrival at the International Space Station on Wednesday, JAXA astronaut Kimiya Yui, a member of Expedition 74, will berth the uncrewed HTV-X1 to the Harmony module using the Canadian Space Agency’s Canadarm2. Both the first and second stage of the H3 rocket are expendable. [Video C
