Possibly over 3,400 years old, this funerary mask of a woman is attributed to the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt, during the reigns of Amenhotep II through Thutmose IV. Made of cartonnage, gesso, paint, gold, copper alloy, and faience, it features an elaborate wig with an ornamental fillet, a necklace of ball beads with nefer signs, and finely modeled facial features. It measures 38 × 40.5 × 19 cm (14.96 × 15.94 × 7.5 in). This artifact is now housed at The Metropolitan Museum
