Miami Vice's Sonny Crockett started off driving a 1972 Ferrari Daytona Spyder 365 GTS/4. The car seen on screen was actually a replica car built on a Corvette chassis. Two Corvettes were used to create the Daytonas used on screen - a 1976 and a 1981. They were used right up until Ferarri sued the car's builders.
