However, if you do encounter animals while in the water, please follow the guidance in The Scottish Marine Wildlife Watching Code, and take extreme care not to disturb the animals or put yourself in danger. | National Trust for Scotland

The wildlife watching you didn’t know you needed! This is the St Abbs Nature Reserve on the south east coast of Scotland. About 1 hour drive from Edinburgh. The walk from the village is tremendous following the stunning cliffs. If you want to extend the route you can walk up to the lighthouse or continue to the cliffs at Broadhaven Bay where there’s around 500 more seals below.
