Despite our best efforts, he just couldn’t overcome the pneumonia/sepsis. I was able to spend the final hours with him, keeping him warm. As I was getting ready to feed him (and show how we feed a kitten who is very sick), I realized that his breathing had switched to agonal. At that time, I knew it was just a matter of minutes.
