Digging into the #archives today, for this 2006 video of #lava dome growth at #MountStHelens. The #timelapse was taken during the 2004-2008 #eruption by "Brutus", a remote camera east of the #vent. The lava is a crystal-rich #dacite. It was cooling as it made its way to the surface, emerging as a series of lava spines that alternately rose and crumbled.
